About
Dr. Paul West
Dr. West began working in the field of probe microscopy and nanotechnology as a post-doc at the California Institute of Technology in 1983 and holds over 20 patents for SPM and Nanotechnology innovations. He has 17 years experience in managing the design, development and marketing of scanning probe microscope instrumentation. Dr. West served on the President’s committee that created the National Nanotechnology Initiative.
Presently, Dr. West teaches courses on AFM Instrumentation and Nanotechnology through several venues. On quarterly basis Pacific Nanotechnology offers basic and advanced AFM training classes with both theoretical and practical sessions. Also, on an annual basis he teaches AFM classes at the SCANNING meeting in Washington DC and in Monterey, California. Finally, Dr. West teaches a graduate level class on AFM theory and practice at the University of California Irvine.
Pacific Nanotechnology
Pacific Nanotechnology provides products and services that facilitate advances in nanotechnology and nanoresearch. Our products are optimized for research, development, and process control applications when visualization, modification, and measurement of nanometer-sized surface structure is critical.
